Pepperidge Farms Tim Tams

I noticed the other day in the University convience store they sold Tim Tams made by Pepperidge Farm. Wow! I must try those someday since K&K rant and rave about them.

So, today is the day. (since I have a pretty crappy lunch) I trudged over to the store and picked up caramel Tim Tams. They also had chocolate creme Tim Tams. Which is the original Katia?


I don't have any liquer to do a Tim Tam slam here in the office.... but I can make a cup of tea...

ok. Try 1: FAIL. I couldn't slurp anything up! Then the end of the cookie melted... and now i have chocolate caramel all over my desk. Maybe the American ones cannot perform the Tim Tam Slam? I bit off the corners.. but my mug is pretty shallow. I'll try biting both sides this time.

Ah yes.. I never see other people's scores when I was in school... well.. sometimes they were posted by last 4 Social Security digits, but my university stopped doing that. My calc teacher in high school would announce your grade when she handed your calc test back to you i.e. "Samantha you got a 98". If you failed, she would whisper the grade, but everybody could still hear your grade! Sounds like Kyliemac did well! After all.. she does have a License to Speak English right now.

Line jumping, wrong! I hate it! When I'm in Taiwan, people line jump all the time.Someone tried to cut in front of me at JoAnn fabrics at the cutting station this past weekend! I was number 76 and number 77 cut in front of me! The lady at the cutting station refused to serve the cutter. Then the cutter left all in a huff puff. I only had 1 piece of fabric to cut! It took less than 2 minutes! I can't wait to hear the episode of "The one where Katia spits on someone who cuts in front of her in line... and stuff... "

Hilarious about the phone number thing! The Chris Moyles (BBC One) show used to have the "Flirt Divert Line". Basically, if you meet someone that you don't want to give your real number to, you give them this fake number. It is a regular voicemail. Usually on Monday mornings, they play the crazy voicemails on the radio show. Hilarious voicemails!!! Especially the one about the drunk guy who lost his car. lol.

Sounds like the nurses in the Paris ER really enjoy their jobs. I really love whenever people love their jobs. I went to the Social Security Administration to get my name change and they guy who helped me was really nice.

An operation? OMG? Sounds like a serious toe. Love how the doctor 'called a mate' to schedule the toe operation.

I seriously love hearing about all the ER and doctor visits from K&K. Kylie's spider bite... Katia trying to find an optometrist.. Katia having a really bad cough.. visiting the pharmacy... I'm really jealous that Katia has free healthcare. ;-( The USA healthcare system sucks. I swear, my perscription cost has gone up 3 times in the past 3 years. Is it true that France doctors make house calls? I remember reading this in a book one time.

How do you travel? You are right Kylie about Americans running here and there whenever they travel for vacation. I have vowed not to travel like that. One of my coworkers when to Italy for her honeymoon. Her and her new hubby took a bus tour. A bus tour for a honeymoon? That's really strange to me... I went to Hawaii for my honeymoon. It was the first time my husband and I had ever traveled for a 'long vacation' (1 week). We stayed at the Turtle Bay Resort (Ever seen forgetting Sarah Marshall?) in Oahu. We pretty much just relaxed the whole time. We did take trips to Pearl Harbour, Waima Bay, and the Dole Pineapple Plantation but that was the extent of our 'running around'. We did take a nice drive to eastern Oahu. I never, ever want to run around here and there and cram everything in.

That's pretty sad about how people come to Paris and stay for a short while then they leave. It must be really sad b/c you are not sure when you'll see them again.Thank goodness for blogs, email, and Skype. That's really a good way to stay in contact. But still, that's not the same as seeing the person.

I keep imagining that the boat tour was like in the movie Charade with Audrey Hepburn. The kissing bridge... I wonder if that is where Carey Grant kisses Audrey in the movie?

Katia being barefoot reminds me of Laura Ingalls from Little House on the Prairie. Laura only wore shoes when she went to school. I have a feeling Katia wears shoes only when she leaves the house. lol.

Nice introductions, although Symphony is referred to as “the cat”. Little did K&K know, Symphony will become an important part of interrupting the podcast. Plus, there is no coffee table studio yet! There is a comfy couch… That’s just strange. I wonder what part of Ikea the podcast idea was thought up of? In the bedroom department? In the kitchen department?? Or perhaps in the cafeteria where perhaps K&K were taking part in chowing down some Swedish meatballs with lingonberry? So, one of the first things I learn about Paris is that Katia does not drink tea unless she is playing scrabble with her mum. Lol.

Ooh.. Eiffel Tower. Love all the facts about the Eiffel Tower! The ice skating rink sounds awesome. Just to tell someone that you went ice skating on the Eiffel tower is pretty cool. This Eiffel Tower talk totally reminds me that I have a small picture of the Eiffel Tower still at my parents house – my bff gave it to me. Thinking about where would be a great place for it in my house… Anyhow….

Neopet. This is never explained! What is a Neopet? I’m not even sure if I’m spelling it correctly. I’m thinking a Neopet is one of the Tamagotchi handheld digital pet. It must be some video game?
